Connecting separable profile
Connecting separable polycarbonate profile (HCP-D un HCP-U) is intended for installation of structures made of polycarbonate (translucent ceilings, vertical glazing, etc.). It provides fast and reliable fastening of panels to the frame and at the same time connecting them to each other.
A profile consists of two parts: the lower – base and the top – closing lid. It has an amazing appearance, reliability, stands out by speed and ease of installation. Profile HCP is universal: it is suitable for fixing panels of thickness: 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm.
Assembling is carried out as follows: firstly the “base” of profile is attached to the main longitudinal frame supports, and then polycarbonate panels are to be set, “lid” profile is to be fixed in proper position (lower position – 6 mm, top 8-10 mm) and it snaps shut. The fixation of “lid” to be made by pressing with a hand to it’s front side. Stressed actions when connecting “lid” profile and the “base” profile avoid. Use hammers, mallets and other tools when connecting “lid” and “base” is not recommended.
In the “base” (the lower part of the profile) drill holes in step of 300 mm, the diameter of which must be somewhat larger than the screw diameter, (or thermowashers feet). Use the screws to attach the “base” profile to the frame. On both sides of the “base” put panels so that they lean on that “base” and to be left necessary clearance for thermal expansion of the panels (3-5 mm depending on the width of the panel). Set the “lid” profile and, using a wooden mallet, snap shut it across the length of the profile, connecting to the base. In the polycarbonate profile HCP is presence of clamps on two levels, at the lower position it allows to carry out connection of panels with 6 mm thickness, while the top position – 8 and 10 mm.
Profiles “HCP” provide a strong and tight connection of the panels and fasten them to the supporting frame supports, and as well allow them to expand or to contract, because of the seasonal influences of ambient temperature changes. This is the most popular solution. These profiles are used in all designs, but basically indispensable in arched ceilings and canopies.
